The history of Cérabati begins in 1864, when Mr. Jaunez founded the first floortile factory in Sarreguemines in the Eastern part of France. Since then new production facilities have been established in France, Germany, Belgium and Luxembourg. In 1921 the Cérabati brand was born when all of these factories were reorganized and named “Compagnie Générale de la CÉRAmique du BATIment”. In 1962 a wall tiles factory was founded in Chateauroux in the centre of France. Holding a key position in a market that constantly evolved,  Cérabati extended its range with technical and decorated products in porcelain stoneware as from 1993. In 1995 the important Marazzi Group, the world’s number 1 in the field of ceramics, took over Cérabati. Thanks to this new support, Cérabati Ceramique is continuing its work, putting its experience and knowledge to use for more than a century.
